Planning your Fine Arts Photoshoot

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Before we meet we will have a phone consultation to discuss styling and your ideas of how you would like to be photographed. The photoshoot takes place in a professional photo studio in Long Island City, one subway stop from midtown Manhattan.

We provide a selection of fabrics and accessories. Unique props can be created for your concept. Please send us all your ideas by email before your photoshoot so we may create a unique and stunning setting for your shoot.

You are welcome to include a sibling or friend in your session. Photoshoot time is not limited - we shoot till we get all looks and ideas documented. Average photoshoot lasts about 2 hours. There is no limit to the number of wardrobe changes.

During the session the photographer will guide you through posing. The photoshoot is designed and styled to create fine art images of athletes and dancers.

Accessories and some clothing choices will be provided for you. Makeup and Hair glam team can be provided for additional fee upon request.

Wardrobe & Styling

WARDROBE

When selecting items from your wardrobe we advise that it is best to bring more rather then less so that options are available during the photoshoot - bring as many choices as you like.

As a base look please bring simple black sleeveless cami leotard and wear small skin-tone underwear that will not show easily.

SUGGESTED WARDROBE CHOICES:

- Gymnasts - bring your hoop, ball, clubs and ribbon, more then one if available.

- Dancers - footwear (pointe shoes, dance shoes, toe shoes, etc..). Ballet - point shoes, if available in different colors (black, white, nude, color)-

- Leotards - black, white, skin-tone*, colors.

- Black sports bra & underwear set (sports bra and sports underwear that can be worn on its own without needing to be covered)

- Crop tops (short & long sleeve), sports bras: black, nude, white

- Skirts: long chiffon lyrical skirts, tutus, multicolor skirts, character skirts, mesh, tulle or opaque, ankle length

- Knee highs, thigh-highs

WARDROBE FOR GUYS:

- For ballet: black/white/brown tights, black dance underwear briefs, other bottoms

- Tank top - white, black

- Formal collar shirts: white, black, colors. (No patterns, please)

- Black Coat, Formal 2-3-piece suit, Formal Jacket

* Skin-tone means the color that approximately matches your skin.

Hair & Makeup

Professional glam team is available for all sessions upon request, additional fee applies.

In order to create the utmost stunning portraits professional makeup is recommended for adult models, please let us know if you would like to add it to your session. You will arrive an hour and half before your session and sit back and relax while a professional makeup artist works their magic.

*Hair is recommended to be away from the face for part or all looks, such as an up-do, high/low bun, ponytail.
